Strategic Partnership KA229 “European Scholar Congress on
Environmental Issues”
Second project meeting
Title of the project: “European Scholar Congress on Environmental Issues”
Host school: ŞCOALA GIMNAZIALĂ “VASILE ALECSANDRI” ROMAN
Duration: 1st – 5th of April 2019
Wednesday – 3rd of April 2019
The third day continued the
adventure of “A day
without electricity” and we discovered
together the beauties of Neamt County. First stop was the Museum of
Ethnography “Nicolae Popa”, Târpeşti.
From the entrance, we were welcome by the sculptures of the artist and we
discovered the life and world of the simple people. We found out about the life
of the artist, about the things he had collected during his life and about his
drawings, paintings and his wonderful masks and
naïve sculptures. We have discovered the quiet and simple life of people
living in villages.
We continued our trip to Agapia
Monastery. There, we found out about the history of the monastery, but
also about the traditional activities which have made this monastery unique in
Romania. We visited a traditional house of nuns, which is still functional. We
were shown how to weave a towel or a
carpet and the teachers and students could try themselves. This was an exciting
experience and several students tried it more than once. After that, we visited
the monastery and we found out about its history and its paintings made by
Nicolae Grigorescu.
The third stop was at Neamt
Fortress. Even if we were a bit tired, this experience was great for
all of us, because both students and teachers had the opportunity to visit one
of the oldest fortresses in our country and to discover the beauties of the
landscape. The pictures taken there show that.
On the way back to Roman, we stopped
to launch lanterns, as a message from all of us to protect the environment
against the effects of light pollution.
